This year Skate Malmö Street is partnering with Pushing Boarders for five days of everything skateboarding. Panel discussions in the mornings are followed by pop-up skate events around the city.
Also part of the event is the SKATE 2019 touring exhibition and the Smörgåsboard skateboarding film festival. And much more. All while the Malmö Festival is in full swing. Expect team sessions, so get your crew out here. Sole entrants welcome too. Just turn up.
Wednesday:
Pushing Boarders/SMS Launch – Parktorget Session
The week of Pushing Boarders and Skate Malmö Street begins with the SKATE 2019 – Malmö exhibition opening on the main square in Folkets Park. SKATE 2019 has toured Sweden throughout summer and finishes in Malmö. Skateable street furniture and installation by architect Søren Enevoldsen. Open session. If you want to register your crew for the Skate Malmö Street week, registration will be open 17-19.

Thursday:
Globally Stoked – Pig Barrier Jam
Skate Malmö Street and Pushing Boarders have joined forces to mix practice with preaching. And Concrete: A new DIY collaboration between Pig Barrier crew, Skateistan, Free Movement Skateboarding, 7Hills, Skate PAL, Women Skate the World, Girl Skate India and the Concrete Jungle Foundation.
Following the Pushing Boarders panels at Bryggeriet Skatepark in the morning [https://www.pushingboarders.com/programme-2019], the session kicks off at the fresh pour at Pig Barrier DIY.

Pop-Up Session – Utblick/Insikt
Before the Maritime Session, we meet up at Pål Svensson’s sculpture Utblick/Insikt for a pop-up session.
Tricks for cash. Art meets skateboarding. No registration required.

Back to School – Skate Rosengård
Skate Malmö Street is partnering with Apelgård School and all-activity centre for a schoolyard block party and opening of the new skateable multicourt.
What: New schoolyard multicourt opening, huck-yerself session and neighbourhood food and performances. All ages, all persuasions. Team sessions, tricks for cash, good vibes.

Sunday:
It’s been a long week. Following the Pushing Boarders panels at Nöjesteatern in Folkets Park, the session picks up at Konsthallstorget, aka ‘the Mushroom’. Open sessions, instagram comp and tunes by Streets of Soul.
