Värnhemstorget

Värnhemstorget

Street spot located just a couple of pushes from freeway E22. Stairs, ledges, hubbas and flatground for miles at this classic Malmö spot.

In 2014, Martin Pennlowe and Rhulane Shiburi approached the City of Malmö with the idea of giving the classic Malmö street-spot Värnhemstorget a facelift. With the help of Filip Lipinski’s designs and a supportive council, you will now find two hubbas and granite benches in the square made from the same Swedish granite as the slabs on the ground.

At least once a year, Värnhemstorget gets taken over by skaters for Skate Malmö: Street or Back to Värnhem. If you’re in the neighborhood, have a look at the stairs and try and figure out how Nisse Ingemarsson hardflipped up those things.
