The Train Banks have long been an institution in Malmö’s skateboard scene. Since Savanna side got torn down in 2004 the DIY spots spread like the plague around Malmös less popular areas and the Barrier, Steppe side and the train banks were created.
Today there is only the train banks left of those original spots (Steppe side 2 or Step it up side has since then been created) and until two years ago it only consisted of a wallride and a tight china bank. After the massive skateboard invasion that came with the birth of Stapelbäddsparken and Sibbarp Skatepark, and to fill the gap from loosing two of Malmös best skate spots it was time to expand the train banks and take advantage of it’s full potential.
In 2009 Pontus Alv with friends started to work and didn’t stop until there was 100 meters of raw Malmö street.
